Cheesecake Brownies



Indulge in the perfect marriage of creamy cheesecake and rich chocolate brownies with this decadent recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350F 175C

Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat

Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined

Mix in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined

Spread batter into the prepared baking pan, reserving about 1/4 cup of batter for topping

In a separate bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until smooth

Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter in the pan

Drop spoonfuls of the reserved brownie batter over the cream cheese layer

Use a knife to swirl the brownie batter into the cream cheese layer, creating a marbled effect

Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly

Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares
